McPherson Tournament Bracket
AHS ranked 23rd best in the state
Andale High School was ranked the 23rd best high school in the state by the Niche index. This ranking combines test scores, attendance rates, graduation rates as well as surveys completed by patrons and graduates. This also correlates to the third best in the Wichita metro area and the best in Sedgwick County!
Students qualify for KMEA
Alyssa Fargo, Senior. She will be an alto in the All State Honor Choir.
Julianna Smarsh, Senior. She will be an alto in the All State Honor Choir. This is Julianna’s third year receiving this honor. She will be recognized during the All State concert and will receive a medal for her efforts.
Jarett Wynn, Sophomore. He will play bassoon in the 1234A All State Band. He is seated 1st chair.
Danielle Schueller, Junior. She will play flute in the 1234A All State Band. She is seated 3rd chair. This is Danielle’s second year to be in the All State Band.
Chad Cargill to speak on taking the ACT
Chad Cargill, nationally known for his ACT presentations, will be here Monday, February 24, from 8:30 am -11:30 am. Mr. Cargill will teach students skills to use taking the ACT and ways to improve their scores. Students must sign-up in the counseling office to take his class. There is a charge for the class.
Winter Homecoming on February 6th
Winter Homecoming is Friday, February 6. The homecoming games will be played versus Rose Hill. The coronation ceremony will be immediately following the girls basketball game. The homecoming dance will follow the boys game in the commons.
Parent/Teacher Conferences on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13
Parent/teacher conferences will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, and from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, on Friday, February 13. Conferences will be in the high school commons. No appointment is needed.
No school on February 16th - Teacher In-service
Andale High School will not be in session on Monday, February 16 for a teacher in-service day.
REF Casino Night on February 21st
The Renwick Education Foundation will be hosting its annual Casino Night on February 21, at 6:00 pm in the Knights of Columbus hall. The REF provides grants to teachers for classroom use and scholarships to Renwick students. The community is invited to come out and support the REF, and have a great time!
